Dear Sir,
I wish to complain about the adults complaining. They complain about the vandals and hooligans, smashing up places, fighting, arguing with the police and other adults, running amok in the street. Surely all this stems from the violence seen on television, with such programmes as Starsky and Hutch, and The Sweeney. Those two are both programmes about the police, who are supposed to keep law and order. They keep the law, but I don’t think much of the order.
War films are also an influence to us younger generation. Little children will see a war film and the following day, among their friends, the will re-enact the bloodthirsty moments from the film. You never see them re-enacting love scenes!
What I am coming to is that it is adults who appear in these programmes and films, and even if it is not these adults who complain, it is still the same generation who complain.
Yours faithfully,
M
