The Twelve Lays of Christmas

I remember once, in royal David’s city, on a silent night in the bleak midwinter, while shepherds watched their flocks, when I saw three ships coming into port.

Good King Wenceslas and two companions disembarked, proclaiming “We three kings of Orient are bringing joy to the world.
So come all ye faithful and deck the halls with the holly and the ivy, then God rest ye merry gentlemen while we wish you a merry Christmas.”
