A Conversation With Conscience

I came home from a night on the beer, not really pissed but definitely not sober. It had been a usual night of drinking, laughing, farting and generally being working class. One great evening! But when I got home, I started thinking ‘Is this my life?’ and I answered ‘No!’… ‘So what can or shall I do about it?’ That is when I felt a presence in the room, besides me and the television set.

“You can do what ever you want to do,” said the presence.

Let Man Live

See the universe unfold into a full stop.
Let the words flow forth.
Give me the power.
The power to move.
The power to live.
The power to die.
Give me the power of all eternity that I will become the one undeniable force in everyone’s lives.
Let all who die become me.
When I die, let me become everyone.
Let me live for ever.
Let everyone be immortal.
Let the sins of the wicked be forgotten.
Let the good of the virtuous be forgotten.
Let man live as man was meant to live.
Without sin.
Without virtue.
Let man live.
Live as man.

I Saw A Man In His Final Days

I saw a man in his final days.
We talked of this and that,
His life ebbing away.
I think he knew the end was near,
Yet still he didn’t want to upset anyone.
Or talk emotions.
And those around him
Could not do either.
He was born, he died
What did he do in between?
Is that life?
Is that why we’re here?
If we leave nothing, were we ever here?
