The Law and Order Alliance of Extraordinary Super-Duper Heroes versus Ora Magnappetitus, Galactoshark
Professor Xylem strode onto the stage and raised his arms. Gradually the room fell silent.
“I’ve called this meeting of the Alliance because grave news has reached us from our outpost orbiting Neptune. Ora Magnappetitus, the Muncher of Planets, has entered our solar system. Already Pluto has been gnawed and three of its moons nibbled. We need ideas on how to stop his progress before he reaches the inhabited zone.”
An Intergalactic Meeting
So here it was, the very first time, officially, that two races, from different planets, indeed different galaxies, had met.
Around The Galaxy In Eighty Years
Day 800
Arrived safely on Caeruleus, the ‘Blue’ planet. All boats and equipment unloaded safely from the transporter, no mishaps like on Malum. This will be the seventeenth planet on my galactic trip and promises to be one of the easiest circumnavigations since the whole planet is essentially a lake. No dangerous reefs or undercurrents.
It should literally be plain sailing.

Captain McAllister turned and looked along the forest path to see a group of short, human-like beings approaching.

Here I am, about to become the first man to set foot on a planet in a different solar system from our own. After twenty years of suspended animation and several months’ rehabilitation, I have landed on Alpha Centauri’s only terrestrial satellite.

Exploring The Dot
As we sat in the preparation chamber, I marvelled yet again at how I felt no different, and how none of my colleagues appeared any different, despite the enormous changes that were taking place. I glanced swiftly around the chamber at the crew who were assembled for this particular mission.
